Nifty Indices consists of various sector index and Nifty IT (Informational Technology) index is one of the major sector. It consists of 10 Nifty IT stocks list companies that have different weightage in the index.
One of the main purpose of setting up Nifty IT index is to gauge the performance in the Information Technology sector in India.
It’s computation is done via free float market capitalization method. It started on 1st January 1996 with a base value of 1000.
It’s base value changed to 100 from 1000 on 28th May 2004. Index Re-balancing is done on Semi-Annual basis.

L&T Technology Services Ltd. (LTTS) has the least weightage of 2.00% in the Nifty IT Companies List.
